Offizielle Stellungnahme zu Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Updates für Asus Transformer Tablets

Asus hat so einige Tablets auf dem Markt und muss nun natürlich sehen, wie man mit zukünftigen Updates umgeht. Bisher war Asus da sehr zuverlässig und hat relativ schnell Update z.B. von Android 3.2 Honeycomb auf Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich geliefert. Ich hab zwar schon über mögliche Android 4.1 Updates für die Transformer Tablets geschrieben aber eine offizielle Äußerung ist da am sichersten. So hat man Folgendes bei Facebook veröffentlicht:

Dear valued ASUS customer,

At ASUS, one of the key commitments we make to our customers is a relentless drive to delivering the best user experience. We achieve this with our ‘Design Thinking’ philosophy and also through regular software updates for our products.

We are pleased to announce that we will be updating many of our tablet products to Android 4.1, Jelly Bean. The ASUS Transformer Pad, ASUS Transformer Pad Prime and ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity are all scheduled to receive an update to Jelly Bean in the coming months.

We are still investigating Jelly Bean updates for other devices, but we are not in a position to confirm whether any other products will be eligible for an update at the moment.

We will provide further guidance on our expected timeframes for these updates nearer their release.

Soweit also nichts Neues, alle neuen Tablets, wie das Transformer Pad TF201, TF300T und das Infinity TF700T werden 100% ein Update bekommen. Das erste Transformer Tablet TF101 und Slider SL101 werden aktuell noch geprüft, da kann man noch keine Zusage machen. Zeitpläne werden dann wohl in den nächsten Wochen veröffentlicht werden. Ich bin gespannt wie lange es dauern wird, bis das Android 4.1 Update dann ausgeliefert wird.
